    Pricing

Two prices. $19 or $34. One-time, not a subscription — nothing renews, nothing to cancel.

Thirty days to ask for your money back, no reason needed. Here is what each one buys.

Before either price: what costs nothing

One full 90-question timed run is free. A free account — email or Google — and no card. You get the two-hour clock, your score out of 80, the percentage, the pass band, the per-chapter breakdown, and the reveal of which ten questions were unscored pilot items.

The question-by-question review is free too — every answer explained with the Food Code section printed under it. It comes with the same free account. Explanations are not the paid part.

    $19 — Two Runs

    • A second full timed run — a different 90-question form, not the first one reshuffled. Two complete runs in total, built the way the real ServSafe® Manager exam is: 90 questions in front of you, 80 scored, a two-hour clock.
    • Every answer explained, with the Food Code section it comes from, on both runs. Not "B is correct" — the rule, the number, and where it lives.
    • Scored at 70% — 56 of the 80 scored questions, the administrator's own pass mark.
    • 90 days of access.

    $34 — Full Prep

    Everything above, plus:

    • Unlimited runs from the full bank.
    • All 10 chapter drill sets, mapped to the official Manager Book, 9th Edition. Short sets for the gaps your timed run exposes.
    • The edition-change questions — 16 questions built on numbers that changed between Food Code editions. The hand sink that was 100°F and is now 85°F. The 8 allergens that became 9. The values most free material gets wrong.
    • The printable temperature card. One page, for the fridge or your back pocket.
    • 1 year of access. The charge on your statement reads LINECHECKPREP.

    What you're actually paying for

We wrote 203 original questions against the 2022 FDA Food Code. Every question cites a Food Code section, and every numeric answer is checked against that section's own text. When a question says the hand sink runs at 85°F, a script has confirmed 85°F appears in the text of 5-202.12(A) itself. Small thing? No. Most free practice tests publish the pass mark as 75% — it's 70% — and plenty teach numbers that changed three editions ago. A test that teaches you the wrong number is worse than no test.

What you are not paying for, said plainly

    • These are not real exam questions. Real items are copyright-protected and confidential. Ours are original, written against the Food Code. Anyone selling "the real questions" is lying.
    • No pass rate — but two promises in writing. We won't tell you how many people pass, because we don't know. We will tell you what we do if you don't. Thirty days, unconditional, on both tiers: any reason, no proof, email us. And Full Prep carries a second, separate promise — complete one full-length timed run, sit the real exam during your year of access, and if you don't pass, send us the official score report and we refund the $34 in full.
    • This is not the official course. It satisfies no training-hour requirement and comes with no certificate. You still buy and sit the real exam separately.
    • "Unlimited runs" means unlimited attempts, not infinite questions. The bank is 203 items — two full 90-question runs with no repeats. A third run repeats questions. That's what the chapter drills are for.
    • You can pass without us. Candidates commonly report self-studying from free material and passing without the $125 official course. We think our questions are better sourced — a claim about quality, not necessity.

Why it costs anything at all

Because the thing behind it is expensive and slow. The real exam is $38.99 for an access code or printed voucher, $99.00 online-proctored, or $108.99 at a test center. The course is $125.00; course and exam together run $152.95–$188.99; the book is $52.99. Fail and you buy the exam again. You may take it twice within 30 days; a third attempt means waiting at least 60 days, and no more than four attempts in any 12-month period. No retake discount is published. And most people sitting this exam are on a clock someone else set — a new job, an inspection, a county deadline. So the math is $34 against a $38.99–$108.99 retake and a 30-to-60-day wait.

Start free. One full timed run, 90 questions, two hours, scored honestly before you're asked for a cent — and the explanations after it, on the same free account. If that isn't better than what you get for nothing elsewhere, don't buy anything. start with the free run

    Refunds

Thirty days, unconditional. No reason, no proof you studied, no need to have failed anything. Email [email protected] and we refund it. Worth saying out loud: if you sit the real exam inside those 30 days and it doesn't go your way, you're still inside the window. Ask for the refund.

    Frequently asked questions

Are these the real ServSafe exam questions?

Every question here is written from the 2022 FDA Food Code — the same source the exam is built on — with the section cited under every answer, so you can go check the rule yourself. That is the stronger position, and it is the honest one: the real items are copyright-protected and confidential, nobody legitimate has them, and a site offering you "real" or "leaked" questions is telling you what it did to get them. Ours are original, 203 of them across 95 cited sections, and every numeric answer is checked against that section's own text before it enters the bank.

    Is LineCheckPrep affiliated with ServSafe?

No. We are an independent study tool with no affiliation with ServSafe or the National Restaurant Association. ServSafe® is a trademark of the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation; we use the name only to say which exam we help you prepare for. We don't administer the exam, issue certificates, or grant credit toward any training requirement.

What happens if I fail the real exam after studying here?

You buy the exam again and follow the retake ladder: twice within 30 days, then a 60-day wait before a third attempt, and no more than four attempts in 12 months. No retake discount is published. We can't get you around any of that. What we can do is refund you — and if you're still inside 30 days of your purchase, ask us to.

    What's your refund policy?

Thirty days, unconditional. No reason required, no proof of study, no need to have failed anything. Email [email protected]. It's one-time pricing, so there's no subscription to cancel either.

How does the Full Prep pass guarantee work, and how do I claim it?

It applies to Full Prep ($34) and it is a second, separate promise — it does not replace the 30-day refund. The condition is one thing: complete one full-length timed run. No minimum score, no requirement to finish all ten drill sets. If you then sit the real ServSafe® Manager exam during your year of access and do not pass, email [email protected] with your official score report showing the result, and we refund the $34 in full. The two stack: inside 30 days you can ask for a refund for any reason at all; after that, the pass guarantee still applies until your access ends. Two Runs keeps the 30-day unconditional refund instead.

What do you get for free?

One full 90-question timed run on a two-hour clock, and your result the moment you submit it: raw score out of 80, percentage, pass band at 56, per-chapter breakdown, and which ten questions were unscored pilot items. That needs a free account — email or Google — and no card. The question-by-question review — every answer with its Food Code section — is also free, on the same account. What costs money is a second run, the ten chapter drill sets, the edition-change questions, the temperature card.

How much does the ServSafe Manager exam cost?

The exam is $38.99 as an access code or printed voucher, $99.00 online-proctored, or $108.99 at a test center. The course is $125.00. Course and exam together run $152.95–$188.99. The book is $52.99. Those are ServSafe's prices, not ours; we re-check them quarterly.

    What we don't do

    • No invented pass rates. We have no user data, and we will not publish a number we cannot stand behind.

    • No stock testimonials and no star ratings until real customers leave real ones. If you don't see reviews here, it's because there aren't any yet.

    • No countdown timers, no fake scarcity, no reference price crossed out. The price is the price.

    • Our questions are ours. They are written from the Food Code, not taken from the exam. Anyone selling you "the real questions" is selling you something they should not have.
